Listen, I can’t deny it, we talk some smack about a lot of non-nacho foods here. It’s nothing personal to them, but this is Nachonomics, and in that fight, we’ve always got nachos’ back. However nobody can eat nachos every day, at least not if you want to maintain a reasonable BMI, so you’ve got to branch out every now and then.

While we have tremendous knowledge and love of nachos, some people have that same knowledge and love when it comes to other foods, such as sandwiches. Sometimes they even have scanner, and when you combine that with a sandwich you get Scanwiches, a blog of scans of sandwiches for education and delight. 50% art, 51% food porn, they elevate the discipline of scanning sandwiches from an art to a religious/gastronomic experience. Not long ago they had a “design your own sandwich” contest, and of course we had to represent nachos.

While the Nachopedia was a delicious sandwich, sadly it was but a mere runner up. There was stiff competition, including a sandwich writhing with calamari, and when it comes down to it in a fight, always bet on tentacles. I can’t feel bad losing to that, and frankly the delicious flavor of nacho and sandwich combined will never leave my mouth, or my heart.
